Local talent storm Burgess Hill’s Park Centre with ‘Taste of Lion King’!

JK Theatre Arts performed their Summer spectacular ‘Taste of Lion King’ at the renowned Park Centre, Burgess Hill in West Sussex on Wednesday 18th July, following their successful guest appearances at the Lindfield Arts Festival and Jay Miller’s Circus. They also helped to raise money for new stage equipment for the centre with a pre show cafĂ©. The enthralled audience included Claire Heffernan, founder of the Big Dance Off and John Clayton and Sarah Wingate from the drama department at St Paul’s Catholic College. John commented that the production had “great pace and strong characterisations. A testament to the discipline and skill instilled in them by the team at JK Theatre Arts.” Members of the Mumpreneurs Networking Club also attended the evening. The show’s technical support was provided by Bolney based company, Harveys Lighting and photographs were taken by Mi Bewick Photography, Brighton. JK Theatre Arts will be captivating yet another audience in December with their annual pantomime, supported by Burgess Hill Theatre Club. JK Theatre Arts work closely with local businesses and educational facilities within the community including St Pauls Catholic College, Oakmeeds Community College and this year the Hub Theatre, Haywards Heath. Thus providing students with the opportunity to build their working portfolio by assisting with all aspects of JK shows, from props to lighting.
